Week 8 Post #2 MBA 6101 Legal Assistance
This past week at work I received a notification from Thomson Reuters which is a platform that my attorneys use for their research in legal cases. Thomson Reuters signed an agreement to acquire Casetext that will assist legal professionals achieve a broad range of tasks in their workflows to help with their research, analysis and document preparation and review. This investment will cost $100 million dollars annually on AI powered capabilities. Being that I work in a legal setting, it is imperative to my colleagues to utilize such a platform to assist them in their daily tasks. Not a replacement but more of an "assist" capacity. Thousands of cases come through everyday and in order to keep up with the pace, this type of AI will be efficient and exceptional.
